Ellen,

I am very impressed with your photographer's sensibility in working with Sketchup. You were smart in keeping the scene quite simple through the use of repetitive forms, then enhancing the atmosphere with fog.

I would explore more ways to use large foreground objects in contrast to the distant fading landscape. You did a good job keeping your horizon line from the static midpoint. The far views in the upper left and lower right would be stronger if there were some close-up silhouette framing the distant view. The closer views in the lower left and upper right would be stronger if the major players were not so equally spaced. Look at the shape of the negative spaces: a blend of close and far can help you enliven the shapes of the sky. And the figures and benches go a long way to giving the pictures scale - so make sure they don't get lost.

It's easiest to show the passage of time, you need to show the same objects from the same view at different times.

While generally I prefer to see one image much bigger than the others, I like the experimental feel of your page layout. The controlled palette gives it a strong unity and the change in scale keeps it from being boring, since we focus on the close-up, high-contrast image first. I would like the closeups better if the columns had as much detail as the tree trunk and the stone paving.

While your text choice has a soft atmosphere consistent with your images, it is hard to read. How about if you try making some bold headlines as well? Take a look at these fun posters to get ideas: http://www.posterconnection.com/gallery.htm

And please align your edges and text consistently - turn rulers on in your layout program, then pull out blue guides and turn on snap to guides.

Very glad to see your interesting work for this project.
